ENGAGE, INSPIRE, EMPOWER
Our Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is a youth leadership development group comprised of 50 Fulton County high school students. YAC is a youth-led prevention group headed by the Youth Leadership Board that organizes opportunities for involvement for general YAC members. Members meet monthly to develop and strengthen their leadership skills as well as plan, implement, and evaluate county-wide youth events. In the past, our YAC members have hosted the "Color Your Life Color Run" as well as #GameOn and Stomping Grounds at the Fulton County Fair. We host an annual overnight YAC retreat, YAC Orientation and Senior Send-Off. YAC members formed a T3 Tobacco Prevention Workgroup and these teens work in the community to prevent underage tobacco/vape use, increase youth cessation, educate our community on the dangers of tobacco/vape products, reduce youth access to these in our community, and change tobacco policy. Members also have an opportunity to participate in state and national level youth conferences.
Visit our official YAC page for additional information.
YAC recruits incoming Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors every spring (April - May) for the following school year. For more information on YAC recruitment, visit the YAC recruit page or please contact us at HC3Partnership@gmail.com.
