During an emergency or disaster, the Fulton County Health Department has plans in place to respond in order to meet the needs of our residents. Our primary goals are to respond effectively and efficiently to the disaster and provide services needed for recovery in the aftermath of an emergency with respect to disease control, investigation, and prevention; water quality; and sanitation.
The Fulton County Core Planning Group and Local Emergency Planning Committee meet on a regular basis to discuss health-related emergencies. Also, Fulton County Health Department staff meets with Local Health Department officials from 18 counties of Ohio Homeland Security Region 1.
The Fulton County Health Department Emergency Response Plan is a public document. If you are interested in reading or reviewing this plan, please call the Fulton County Health Department at (419) 337-0915 to make an appointment with Brian Heil, Emergency Preparedness Coordinator.
