car seat program

Do you have specific car seat questions or wonder if your car seat is in the vehicle correctly?

The Health Department has free car seat inspections and education by a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician to all Fulton County residents.

Reduced-cost car seats are available to income-eligible families. Child and parent must attend a 1-hour educational session. These sessions are held once a month by appointment. Donations are encouraged - these donations are used to purchase additional car seats for families in our community. Call the Health Department to see if you qualify. 419-337-0915

Tethers Make A difference

What Is A Tether??

It’s the strap with a hook hanging on the back, at the top of your child’s car seat.  When attached and tightened to

one of the vehicle’s tether anchors, a tether helps keep a

forward-facing car seat from tipping forward.
